first, you know any minors we will be held accountable for right?
(17 under i would assume) so we should have someone who is an adult supervise them i suppose also anyone lying about certain things should come clean before agreeing to go

not only that jcafe takes no responsibilities for what happens before / after/ during the trip

Humm...

a suggestion... is to delay into 2.5 - 3 years  (I'm still a poor one and leeched of my parents for living). So visa is pretty problematic for me.
And also yeah, the 'deposit money'. I think that Japan (as many other country) asked for a deposit money before we can get our visa.

Humm... what else...
about destination. Kyoto~~~~!!!!!!!!
it's cheaper (by bit) than Tokyo.

There's cheaper areas at Tokyo too. And if we'd go to all the "tourist" places, of course it would be expensive.

Problem with that suggestion (of the number of years it's planned for) would be that I'd be in uni at the time, and I probably will have barely enough money to survive, let alone go to Japan =O
But in 2 years, I could've saved up since I'll start getting about £30 every week for going to school xD

Hey now, I'm not invited?

I may not be too active here, but I try to be an everyday poster over at MU! Maybe I will just have to start posting here more! Silv sent me the link on msn and I would definately be down for something like this!

The destination will probably be moved. And nope, you're not invited. Well, it's not like we're gonna leave soon or anything, so we'll see. If you stay active here, then you have a good change of being able to come.

Anyways, we're just thinking this out, nothing is certain at this point. We'll try to update these as soon as we can.

A poll would be nice then.

Anyways, we were thinking that maybe we'll make a trip to some European country instead, since so many people lives there, and it might be cheaper. And it would be easier to go to Japan in the future, if we had already met each other, and knew each other better.

I'd like to hear some opinions.

Gomenne!
I guess that if someone like silv who knows you and stuff would like to add you to the list, then he can but... you see, since it's a jCafe trip, we'd like the people who are active in jCafe to all meet each other.
Looking forward to your posts, then! =]

I'd like to hear some opinions.

Let me expand on the Europe thing -
First of all, it's cheaper and therefore more accessible to everyone, I think. A trip to Japan can be over US$1000, and that's a lot, considering that not everyone works and many of us are still studying.
Even if it would be very very nice to go to Japan, and appropriate seeing the main motive of this forum, it's likely that maybe even 5 people or less would be able to do so. Some people save up for years before going on a trip to Japan!
And er... Europe is generally easily accessible, and there can be very beautiful places so it would be more of a get together before going sightseeing in Japan all together. =]

So yesh, opinions, please?

Exactly =O

Whilst if we go to Europe, the main money sucker for going to Japan, which would be the flight's cost, wouldn't really be a problem. Which means more money for food, accomodation etc.

=]

Is that the Japan trip or the Europe trip? xD
Methinks we need to make a poll about this....

(idea for a poll:
Title: Gathering in Japan or Europe? (please read posts concerning it first, and see the reasons)
- Europe
- Japan)

Etc...

yeh i do have the money but my mum wont let me go i can plan going to japan though

Your mum wouldn't let you go to Europe but she would to Japan? o_O
I mean, when you're 18 btw... Cos I don't know if I can do it sooner than 2 years.

I know she wouldn't... *sigh* But I'm trying to get straight forward answers here but I'm not getting anywhere D:

Ok now... considering everything, and all possible problems, especially financial or major life affecting problems, which one:

Europe or
Japan?

These are both in 2 years' time, mind you.
